The ravishing @yonderboy has kindly allowed me to use his tumblr for this song. ‘Me’ being @bethanie. Thanks @yonderboy - my shout next round at the $2 peeps.
Listening to a lot of women with incredible voices tonight - of the haunting variety in particular. Stumbled onto my old George album. I love this song (Spawn). At about 2min10 it gets good, and just after 2min25 she hits a note that makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. There are other reactions too but I wont delve into those… Go back through @yonderboy’s tumblr for an idea ;)
So on taking this to Twitter, @joshsharp introduced me to the EP version of Spawn. I agree with him that it’s a better version, though only in parts. There’s more intensity at times but it loses some of the power that I think the album version has.
